Dr. Laurence Dorman FRCGP is the Chair of RCGPNI and has been a GP principle in Mourne Family Surgery, Kilkeel since 2007. Dr Dorman has worked in a variety of roles which have included family planning, palliative medicine, GP appraisal, and educational roles. Dr. Dorman was Chair of Newry and District Federation of Family Practices between 2017-2019 and has a particular interest in new ways of working in primary care and inspiring the next generation of GPs. Successful federation projects included introducing Practice Based Pharmacists to all practices, establishing a locum pool, GP education sessions, and introducing paramedics into practices.
