Dr Onyinye Okonkwo (pronounced Oni) is a mid-career GP Fellow who works in Birmingham. 

Some of Onyinye’s roles include teaching and training – an RCA Examiner and currently one the 3 elected examiner reps, GP Trainer- South Birmingham VTS , Community Based medicine tutor for Years 1 and 5 as well as Year 5 OSCE examiner for University of Birmingham. Her College Roles include: Joint Honorary Secretary/EDI Champion Midlands Faculty RCGP,  RCGP Council Rep for Midlands Faculty, Member of the National RCGP EDI Steering Group and SDG2 Group for membership ; Onyinye’s also involved in local ICS Commissioning as Clinical lead BSOL ICS General Practice Staff and Allies EDI network, Member of BSOL ICS Health Inequalities Board and GP member on the ICS Vaccination Board as well as South Locality Clinical Lead for Medicines and Optimisation. She is involved with the BMA as Co- Chair BMA West Midlands Forum for Racial Equality and Equity commissioning in addition to navigating the rigours of being an inner city GP senior partner.
