Dr Catriona Morton

Catriona Morton has been a GP in Craigmillar, a Deep End practice in Edinburgh, for over 28 years. Her practice has sought to improve services particularly in terms of developing the team to address specific patient needs relating to inequality. She has been part of the GPs at the Deep End Group since its inception. 

She works as aa Referrals Advisor (https://apps.nhslothian.scot/refhelp/) and as an Oversight GP for the GMS contract in Edinburgh. She is a long-standing elected member of Lothian’s LMC and GP Sub-Committee and for five years was Chair of both. She sits on the Scottish GP Committee.

She served as RCGP Scotland Deputy Chair (Policy lead) from 2020-23, with a focus on GP recruitment and retention, women’s health, drug and alcohol use, mental health, climate change and health inequalities.
