Dr Thomas is a principal GP at the Windrush Medical Practice in Witney, West Oxfordshire. Since joining the practice 14 years ago, the surgery has become one of the highest recruiting
practices in the country and has a clinical research unit made up of a team of 15 people. In 2018 he became the Clinical lead for Research in the Royal College of General Practitioners and he is also the General Practice Clinical Research Specialty Lead and Health and Care Co-Director within the NIHR South Central Regional Research Delivery Network.
Recently, he became the director of one of the new NIHR Commercial Research Delivery Centres (Primary Care).
