
Dr Polly Duncan
GP
Dr Polly Duncan is a mixed-methods academic GP with research interests in multiple long-term conditions, vaccine-preventable respiratory infections, and research inclusion. She is in the final year of her PhD, which focuses on exploring the unmet health needs of older housebound patients. Dr. Duncan serves as Co-Principal Investigator for the AvonCAP GP2 study, a surveillance project on lower respiratory tract infections that has recruited over 4,000 participants, including underrepresented groups such as nursing home residents.
She leads and supports initiatives aimed at improving equality, diversity, and inclusion in primary care research. Dr Duncan is the founder of the UK-wide Primary Care Academic Collaborative (PACT), Research Lead for “GPs at the Deep End” Bristol, and Primary Care Settings Lead for her regional Research Delivery Network.
